Walking is one of the best forms of exercise for pregnant women. Enjoyable movement supports mood, blood sugar regulation, health and well-being. Women who engage in healthy physical movement prior to and during pregnancy are found to have better birthing outcomes. In my health and wellness coaching practice, a primary goal for my clients is to "feed" as many areas in their life as they can in order to experience overall wellness. Some of these areas include self-care, enjoyable movement, social connection, joy, relaxation, and eating healthy foods. Is there any better time than while you are pregnant to begin the habit of self-care and give yourself permission to receive all that you need, not only for your well-being, but for your baby who benefits from every loving thing you do for yourself?
